Not your conventional strip lashes that have to be applied each day, these are semi-permanent, natural looking lash extensions that add volume and thickness, giving your clients length, volume, and drama for up to 2 months*, with just a touch-up in-between. Xtended Beauty(TM) has taken all of the guesswork out of lash extensions with a complete program that features [made in the USA] sensitive and fume-free formulation that is truly odorless and waterproof. Cuvee Recommendations:
- Take a shower before your service, as the lashes cannot get wet for 24 hours.
- Avoid taking any diet pills and do not dring anything caffeinated prior to the service as this can cause eye twitching.
- Bring your glasses if you wear contacts, because contacts must be removed before the application.

What is Xtended Beauty ™ Eye?

What do they look like and how do they feel?
They are weightless with a natural look and feel so they look like your own lashes… only better.
How long do the eyelash extensions last?
Because Xtended Beauty(tm Eyelash Extend(tm) Adhesive is a strong preformance adhesive with a long lasting bond and is gentle enough to be used on the most sensitive of eyes, lash extensions comfortably last up to 2 months with a touch-up in between (usually a 3 or 4 weeks). And with proper care and touch-up maintenance, lash extensions can sometimes last beyond 2 months.
How often should I get touch-ups?
It is recommended by the manufacturer to get touch-ups every 2-4 weeks. Your natural lashes fall off about every 60-90 days due to the naural growth cycle and are replaced with the new growth of an eyelash. Touch-ups are for replacing the follen out lashes or replacing lashes that have outgrown the natural lash. Touch-ups tak a shorter time than a full set application, with just about ten to fifteen lashes per eye, and are therefore less expensive.

Can I apply mascara to the eyelash extensions?
The biggest advantage of wearing lash extensions is that you don’t need to wear mascara. If you feel you must wear it, then choose only water-based formulations and consult with the Cuvee team member providing your service. Do not use any type of oil based or waterproof mascaras. You can purchase the specially formulated Xtended Beauty(tm) Ultra Gentle Mascara designed specifically to be worn with our lash extensions.
Can I swim, shower, exercise or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions?
YES! Our specially formulated bonding agent allows you to shower, swim, and exercise. You can enjoy these lashes with little need to adjust your lifestyle. However, please not that during the first 48 hours it is not recommended to swim, spa, or steam. The adhesive needs time to cure and bond.
Can I use eyelash Curlers with eyelash extensions?
The traditional, mechanical eyelash curlers should not be used (these are the metal contraptions that crimp lashes with a pinching action.) These will damage and break the lash bonds. It is important to understand that Xtended Beauty(tm) Lash Extend(tm)Eyelashes are pre-curled and do retain their curl throughout their life. But due to our natural lashes’ own growth process, lashes do grow out wiht a few twists and turns. These are easily managed with the use of our Deluxe Heated Lash Curler, which is safe to use on natural and lash extensions, gently lifting and guiding those stray, limp lashes into place. Another added benefit is the extra life created, especially when the natural lashes have grown a couple of millimeters or more making lashes sag just a little bit.
How do I take care of my eyelash extensions?
To extend the life of your long beautiful lashes, follow these easy after care instructions:
- Avoid rubbing your eyes, be gentle with your lashes.
- Try to avoid sleeping on your stomach or on your lashes.
- Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler.
- Avoid oil-based makeup products and eye makeup removers as this will weaken the bond.
- Mascara is not necessary but if you must wear it, apply to the tips only and use only a water-based formulation. No Waterproof or Oil-based mascaras should be used.
- Use water based eye makeup remover.
- Do not use cotton balls.
- Minimize your visits to saunas or team rooms. Frequent exposure to heat may cause the bond to weaken.
- Get a touch-up within 2-4 weeks.
Who uses eyelash extensions?
Models and celebrities have been long wearers of lash extensions. With the natural look, anyone could be waring them and you would never know.
What is the application process like?
It is a painless, gentle and relaxing procedure. The client reclines comfortably in one of our newly renovated spa rooms. With their eyes closed, our expert technician applies the lash extensions to each individual eyelash. It generally takes 90-120 minutes to apply one full set (upper lashes only). Touch-ups can be done in 30- 45 minutes.
How many eyelashes are used for each application?
This may vary for each client based on several factors including the amount of natural lashes the client has and the fullness they desire. For the basic look, most eyes generally have 25-40 lashes applied to each eye. For a more glamorous set of eyelashes, as many as 40-60 lashes may be applied per eye. It is important to discuss desired look you want to achieve during your consultation prior to service.
Is the product FDA approved? Is it safe?
Because the FDA does not regulate the lash extensions industry, it can be difficult to know from all of the products out there, just which products are safe to use. This is because many of the adhesives out there are foreign-made adhesives that are actually intended for industrial use. Know that when Salon Cuvee selected Xtended Beauty(tm) Lash Extend(tm) adhesive, we chose a safe product that is made in the U.S.A. and is a true, medical grade adhesive that has all of the lasting prosperities without hte negative side effects, so our clients will simply look and feel beautiful.
AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
To maintain the best care for your lashes and extend the life of your lashes, follow these tips and easy care instructions:
The first 24 hours: Avoid getting your lashes wet to allow the adhesive to dry thoroughly. Refrain from excessively touching your lashes.
And Beyond: Avoid any hot steam from showers or saunas as well as tanning salons or swimming during the first 48 hours. After this period of time, keep sauna, steam room, and tanning visits to a minimum as this may cause the adhesive bond to weaken. Always avoid sleeping on your lashes. Contact lens solutions and use of eye makeup should be kept to a minimum to prolong the life of lash extensions.
Daily Maintenance:
- Avoid using harsh mechanical eyelash curlers.
- Even though mascara is not necesssary with your lash extensions, you can use a WATER-BASED mascara only on the tips. Use it sparingly. Avoid using any oil based or waterproof mascara as this can cause the bond to weaken.
- Avoid using oil based cleansers on or near the eye. Instead, use water or gel based cleansers. Use a sponge tipped applicator or a lint free cloth to gently remove makeup around the eye area. Do not use cotton balls or cotton swabs as the fibers may get stuck to the bonded area.
- Most of all, be gentle! Do not pick or pull your lash extensions and refarain from rubbing your eyes.
- Avoid too frequent exposure to spas, tanning salons, saunas and any type of steam.
You can enjoy your beautiful lashes with little adjustment to your lifestyle. Your Xtended Beauty(tm) lash extensions can last up to 2 months depending on the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes and proper maintenance. The life cycle of an eyelash is 60-90 days. Lashes will naturally shed at the end of their life cycle and fill-ins (touch-ups) will be necessary every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the fallen lashes and the new growth of other eyelashes.
